Kirti holds an electrotechnics engineering degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1972, MBA from Katz Graduate School of Business – University of Pittsburgh in 1986, and Ph.D in decision science also from Katz Graduate School of Business in 1996. Before joining PPM Institute of Management in 1981, she had been managers in the quality, production, and engineering departments of a national cable manufacturing company.
She began her career in PPM’s consulting Division for about eight years. Her managerial assignment in PPM includes Head of Operations and Decision Science Department and Dean of the PPM Graduate School of Management. She was one of the senior faculty members and trainers of production and quality management, systems thinking, performance management (Balanced Scorecard), organization learning, and decision making in complex environment.
She is an internationally recognized expert in the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), a theory in priority measurement that has been applied by major companies and governments worldwide. She gained her expertise directly from its founder Dr. Thomas L. Saaty by being his student and working with him since 1985, including co-authoring “Group Decision Making: Drawing Out and Reconciling Differences”. She has been an active participant in the International Symposium on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (ISAHP) since 1994, as well as a member of its International Committee. With her interest in the learning aspect of management education, she had been speakers in various seminars, national as well as international. She represented PPM as a member of the Normative Body of the Indonesian Association of Master Programs in Management (APMMI) and was the Secretary of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD). With her extensive education and experience, she has been pursuing her new interest in Appreciative Inquiry after being retired from PPM in 2006. She has been AI facilitator for both profit and non-profit organizations, education institutions, local communities, local governments as well as the Bank of Indonesia. Kirti is a Certified Law of Attraction Practitioner from Global Sciences Foundation.
